Come Join us at Patrick's on February 18th to enjoy Tom Boyd's presentation on Top Trout Tactics. Tom Boyd is a fishing researcher, consultant, instructor, outdoor writer, editor and lecturer, with over 50 years experience as a catch-and-release fly fisherman. He'll be covering several topics comprised in his most recent book, Trout Salmon and Char: A Master Guide to Understanding Their Behavior and the Top Techniques to Catch Them. As a professional fly fisherman, Tom has traveled the world in pursuit of fresh and salt water species. He has consulted with manufacturers and lodges on many aspects of fly fishing, and has taken countless world record-sized fish using IGFA regulations including a 340 lb Blue Marlin on a 20 lb. tippet along with black marlin and giant sailfish; a 40.5 lb. roosterfish on a 10 lb. tippet and most recently, a 9 lb. 10 oz. Labrador Brook Trout. He has consulted with governments, researchers, ichthyologists, geneticists, captains, mates, and guides for over 30 years. He champions the sport for everyone, especially the young and underprivileged and has actively advocated for them politically.
